Most emails in the past 2 weeks: "This warmer weather is making my skin go crazy." It's that time of year when your t-zone decides to capitalize on its most flourishing season and your "oily/combo" skin type really likes to remind you that... you are, indeed, oily/combo. So in this post, I am translating all of my emails into a single guide. These are my cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and masking picks for a sudden change in weather / AKA when everyone's faces decide to go nuts. Again, for reference, I am: oily/combo, easily congested/dehydrated, and slightly sensitive. It's quite the balance when each of these variables is being tested.
Cleansers, *Not (Nearly) All Inclusive*: The clays/gels: Tata Harper Purifying, Pixi Beauty Glow Mud, Ren Skincare Clarifying Clay, May Lindstrom Honey Mud The sulfate-free "foam"/thick mousse: Amore Pacific Treatment Cleansing Foam The lightweight oil: Tatcha Pure Camellia Cleansing Oil The balms to remove makeup: Clinique Take the Day Off Balm, Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm, Emma Hardie (1st or 2nd cleanse) The most potent breakout clearing cleanser I own: DermaDoctor Ain't Misbehavin' The exfoliating clay powder: May Lindstrom Clean Dirt Just step away from the "oil free scrub foam grapefruit sulfate acne clearing skin-transforming face wash"...

Claire, I've actually never used it! I need to eventually try a sample. Not ready to buy into the hype quite yet! xo

Hi Caroline, I've been trying out P50 (new formula) and if I use an oil afterwards it felt like the oil just sat on top of my skin and not sinking in properly. I tried using it with a nourishing toner and moisturizer and it just felt sticky. Have you experienced the same thing? I ended up using a sheet mask on top of it and go to bed, waking up in the middle of the night to pluck the dried mask off of my face. I just want to know other possible ways of using it and just in case I did something wrong. Appreciate any feedback/suggestion you have! Thank you.

Is there any way you can get your hands on the original? (P50 1970). Make sure you are not using too much product- it should sink into your skin and allow the following products to penetrate more deeply.

Hi! I have a question. Do you have any recommendations for those of us a budget. I love the Pixi products and can occasionally splurge, but I often don't have it in my budget to opt for some of these options, as good as I know they are for my skin! Thank you!
